SEA LION receives prestigious ASEAN Business Awards 2019 ASEAN Winner - Skills Development -  Large-Tier

November 2, 2019 (Yangon)    - SEA LION represented by Group CEO Dr. Win Zaw Aung received ASEAN Business Awards 2019 ASEAN Winner - Skills Development (Large-Tier) at ASEAN Business Awards Gala Dinner on November 2, 2019 at the sidelines of 35th ASEAN Summit in Bangkok, Thailand.

SEA LION is recognized in new Skills Development Category of Prestigious ASEAN Business Award for the major investment the company has contributed to the human capital development in technical education and healthcare professionals training. SEA LION organized its network of global leading players in technical education that jointly invested over 1.2 million USD in the establishment of the School of Industrial Training and Education (SITE) in collaboration with the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training under the Ministry of Education. SITE has narrowed the skills gap in value-added manufacturing industry by providing intensive hands-on practical skills training much sought after by foreign and local investors in Myanmar. SEA LION has continued to devote for the long-term sustainability of SITE, for meeting the fast changing demands of the industry and for the continuation of high quality training. SEA LION also contributed training centre facilities equipped with modern furniture and audio-visual equipment in Yangon General Hospital and Mandalay General Hospital for supporting and advancing human resource development for healthcare professionals.

Sea Lion Inaugurates new Distribution Solutions Centre worth USD 10 million in Yangon

Yangon, Myanmar, Mar 25, 2019 -- Sea Lion, a leading provider of healthcare, biomedical, life science, technical education, and industrial solutions in Myanmar, today launches the new Distribution Solution Centre (DSC) to improve supply chain efficiency and to fulfil rising and changing demands of customers.

Union Minister, Ministry of Health and Sports H.E. Dr. Myint Htwe, Chairman of Union Peace Commission H.E. Dr. Tin Myo Win, Chief Minister of Yangon Region H.E. U Phyo Min Thein, Former Union Minister, Ministry of Health Prof. Pe Thet Khin, Senior Commercial Officer of the Embassy of the United States of America Mr. John Fleming, and Group MD of Sea Lion Dr. Win Zaw Aung cut the ribbon to open the new Distribution Solutions Centre and then toured the facility and “Integrating Innovations for Lives” Exhibition. The Union Minister witnessed the signing of an EOI (Expression of Interest) for 1-million-dollar Scholarship Program for Healthcare Professionals for overseas trainings, and the Chief Minister witnessed the signing of an EOI (Expression of Interest) for Coorperation on Food Safety of Food Establishments in the City of Yangon. Sea Lion also signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Biomedical Engineering Society (BES) of Singapore for Collaboration in the area of Biomedical Engineering for safety use of medical devices.

We aim our DSC to be one of the best facilities in Myanmar that can guarantee uncompromising storage and logistics solutions for the full range of capital medical equipment and implantable medical devices, medical consumables, and pharmaceutical products,” said Dr. Win Zaw Aung, Group MD of Sea Lion.

Sea Lion Distribution Solutions Centre is designed by Civil Tech International Co Ltd of Thailand. The project was supervised by Sea Lion Civil Tech Consulting Co Ltd and it took 13 months to complete.

DSC is equipped with the most modern infrastructure, robust technologies, SAP Enterprise Resource Planning, and Warehouse Management System to offer efficient supply chain solutions in climate controlled warehousing, online inventory management, and Nation-wide distribution.

The next step in the master plan of DSC expansion is to build a manufacturing facility for the healthcare products to optimize the supply chain management and to help offer affordable quality healthcare products in Myanmar.

Sea Lion is ISO 9001:2015 certified for quality management systems. DSC is in the final process to be certified ISO 13485:2016 for quality management systems for medical devices and related services.

DSC ကို ထိုင္းႏိုင္ငံအေျခစိုက္ Civil Tech International Co Ltd က ဒီဇိုင္းေရးဆြဲခဲ့ၿပီး Sea Lion Civil Tech Consulting Co Ltd မွ တာဝန္ယူႀကီးၾကပ္ခဲ့ကာ တည္ေဆာက္ေရးကာလ (၁၃)လ အတြင္း ၿပီးစီး ခဲ့သည္။

DSC သည္ ေခတ္မီ အေျခခံအေဆာက္အဦမ်ား၊ သြက္လက္ျမန္ဆန္ေသာ နည္းပညာမ်ား၊ SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) ႏွင့္ သိုေလွာင္႐ုံစီမံခန႔္ခြဲေရးစနစ္ (WMS) မ်ားကို အသုံးျပဳကာ အပူခ်ိန္ထိန္းခ်ဳပ္ထားေသာ သိုေလွာင္ခန္းမ်ား၊ အြန္လိုင္းကုန္စည္သိမ္းဆည္းမႈစာရင္းစီမံခန႔္ခြဲေရးမ်ား၊ ႏိုင္ငံတဝန္း သယ္ယူပို႔ေဆာင္ျဖန႔္ျဖဴးေရးအစရွိသည့္ ပိုမိုစနစ္က် ျမန္ဆန္ေကာင္းမြန္ေသာ ကုန္စည္ ျဖန႔္ျဖဴးစီးဆင္းမႈဝန္ေဆာင္မႈမ်ားကို ေဆာင္႐ြက္ေပးသြားမည္ျဖစ္သည္။

DSC ၏ master plan ဗိသုကာဒီဇိုင္းတြင္ ဒုတိယအဆင့္တိုးခ်ဲ႕ျခင္းအေနျဖင့္ ကုန္စည္ထုတ္လုပ္ ျဖန႔္ျဖဴးမႈစီမံခန႔္ခြဲေရး ပိုမိုေကာင္းမြန္ရန္ႏွင့္ အမ်ားျပည္သူ ဝယ္ယူသုံးစြဲႏိုင္မည့္ အရည္အေသြးရွိ ေဆးႏွင့္ ေဆးပစၥည္းမ်ား ထုတ္လုပ္ေရးစက္႐ုံ တည္ေဆာက္ေရးျဖစ္ပါသည္။
